With the globalization and internationalization of the market economy, Chineseenterprises participate in a wide range of international economic activities, facing thecomplex and volatile business environment and operational risks. The lack of timelyidentification, assessment and the ability to respond will result in significant loss oreven bankruptcy. Internal control is the general term of all forms of internalmanagement within the enterprise. Enterprises must build a solid internal controlsystem to survive, develop and maximize stakeholders’ benefits, so as to ensure thatall their economic activities are orderly carried out in accordance with regulations andstandards and that the internal control system can discover and prevent risks in atimely manner. Therefore, marketing and debt collection are usually paid greatattention to by business managers.In this paper, by introducing a case in which the financial staff withheld themoney, causing direct economic loss of ten million yuan, the author analyzes thestatus-quo and problems of the internal control of marketing and debt collection fromthe perspective of the internal control theory, and, based on details throughout theprocesses that can be easily neglected, puts forward the optimized internal controlprogram from the aspects of internal control environment establishment, processanalysis, information system establishment, risk identification and assessment, all ofwhich exert some practical significance on internal control researches on marketingand debt collection.The author firstly introduces the background and significance of the internalcontrol researches, explores methods and frameworks of the internal control ofmarketing and debt collection, then, based on characteristics of YYXC company inpetrochemical industry, elaborates the existing internal control of marketing and debtcollection of YYXC company by means of literature review and case analysis,analyses the problems and finally studies improvement and optimization programs, soas to find ways to establish and further optimize the internal control system ofmarketing and debt collection.
