With the rising proportion of our country’s shipbuilding industry in the global market share, China has become one of the important global shipbuilding centers. But now, there’re four bottlenecks, a lack of advanced shipbuilding abilities, weakness of the independent research and development capacities, high foreign dependence of shipbuilding accessories and low shipbuilding efficiency, which restrict the further development of our shipbuilding industry. And shipbuilding efficiency has been the major factor which should urgently to be solved at present. In this paper, a new idea is used based on cellular automata to complete modeling and simulation of the block workshop spatial scheduling aiming at the spatial scheduling problem in shipbuilding enterprise block shop. The study is significant both in theory research and application value.In this paper, according to the traits of spatial scheduling problem in shipbuilding enterprise block shop, simulation modeling based on cellular automata is used to obtain the scheduling scheme.The main research can be summarized by the following four points:(1)Import the concept of three-dimensional space using time as the third dimension, analyze and classify the relation of blocks based on three-dimensional concept.Then divide the three-dimensional workplace into layers at the points of blocks’ start time, build up the block workshop space scheduling model, describe and optimize the solution procedure at last;(2)In the spatial scheduling model, blocks are regarded as particles, layers as cells. The layer status attributes, initial condition, boundary condition and the local self-evolution rules in the space scheduling layer model are described. Put forward a multi-objective scheduling function which has the shortest completing time, the largest utilization of space-time and the least delay jobs of blocks making. So that to build up the model of block workshop spatial scheduling based on aellular automata in shipbuilding enterprise;(3)Use Microsoft Access to construct simulation model input, operation and output database, apply Visual Basic to design the model’s interfaces of input and output, connect with database through ADO and add two-dimensional algorithm. So that to build up the simulation framework and model of the block workshop spatial scheduling. (4)Take the block workshop in a shipbuilding enterprise for example, simulating its production in one month, thus to obtain optimal scheduling scheme. Contrast enterprise’s practical scheme with the practical scheme in three fields:finish time, utilization of space-time and amount of delayed tasks. And the result proved the feasibility and effectiveness of this model.
