In order to reach the grand goal of building an overall well-off society in our country, we must lay emphasis on the development of food industry, and to make the good use of fundamental important key.Hubei Province is in the central of China’s. From of old it has an laudatory name that "Hu Guang harvest feed all". It plays great role and provides support for our national development and social improve-ment. Hubei province as one of China’s major grain-producing areas, developing food industry has scientific role in the construction of a powerful province of agriculture, promoting the rise of central China and the rapid development of agriculture, at the same time it plays an important role to improve the overall regional competitiveness of Hubei province.In recent years, Hubei province explores sufficient advantages of the major grain producing areas, and constantly intensify policy support for food industry, food production plant area is generally stable, grain output increase steadily, and accelerating the industrialization process of grain. But with the great achievements at the same time, some problems faced can not be ignored, such as the enthusiasm of farmers to grow food production has decreased, vacant land, wasteland phenomenon increase.The population growth rate and food production growing are not consistent, shortage of resources, the resources distribution are unbalanced, excessive use of fertilizers, soil structure change and loss of cultivated land quality as a whole; Food crops and intensive level is not enough, separate management of small-scale peasant’s overall status does not change in its nature, science and technology applied and conversion level is not enough; Combined with the residents’consumption concept, Food consumption structure also gradually change, food waste is very serious, these factors make the pressure of food production growing, these factors seriously influence the development of food industry in Hubei province. I, the writer, think that grasping the development of food industry in Hubei province characteristics and rules, deeply research and analysis the main problems which affect the development of food industry in Hubei province and the contradiction, make the reasonable use of resources, to promote a large scale operators, effectively raise the competitive ability of food leading enterprise is the key to solve these problems.This article uses the methods of analysis and research is summarized in this paper, through the analysis of Hubei province food industry development present situation and the existing main problems, analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of the food industry, potential, making it clear about the next step in Hubei province food industry which need to strengthen and improve, and putting forward of basic measures.
