Analysis Of Collaborative Research Among The National Prize For Progress In Science And Technology

This article uses the projects awarded national prize for progress in science and technology as the data source,studies the scientific research cooperation of academic community by using knowledge map,and then points out the defects of the cooperation of the academic community and puts forward the improvement, measures.The main content of this paper includes the following parts:The first part, the introduction of fundamental theories.The author generalized the theories about academic community, collaborative research, social network, national science and technology award through the study of existing achievements. The academic community is the main body of knowledge discovery, the personnel training base, as well as the evaluator of academic achievements and the supervisor of academic behavior. collaborative research is the result of scientific progress, it plays an important role on improve the output and quality of knowledge. Social network analysis has been widely used since twentieth Century thirty years due to its usefulness.National science and technology award used as the device of macro-control, influences the development direction of science.The second part, the introduction of research tool and the result of data processing. The main statistical analysis tools used in this paper is Excel and CitespaceⅡ. As a commonly used office software, excel has been known to everyone. The CitesSpace software was developed by Dr.Chaomei Chen based on Java platform, this software can analyze keyword, author, title and other fields, and get the visual map, to study the situation of a subject area within a certain period of time.Since 2004, the CitesSpace software born, because of its usefulness, accurate results and appearance of the map, it soon be widely used at home and abroad.The third part, the analysis about the theme of scientific research cooperation. The author extract keywords from the name of every project,and then get a visual map by CitespaceⅡ,to finds out the theme of cooperation and the trend of change. Through the study we can find that, with the time, the theme of cooperation is also changes,for example, in agriculture, the theme of cooperation changes from plant breeding, optimization of cultivation, hybridization technique to the cultivation of new varieties and germplasm innovation.In heavy industry, researchers pay more attention to the safety of mining resources and efficient use of energy, In addition, in the field of medical, transportation and ecological environment, subject, theme of cooperation have also changed. At the same time, along with the progress of the times, all kinds of new technologies such as:remote sensing technology, satellite technology, robot technology has attracted the attention of researchers. The change of project cooperation theme is not only affected by the social development, but also by the guidance of national policy.The fourth part, analysis of the distribution of winners and the scientific collaboration network.Through the statistics of the data, we can find out that the 96 percent of projects are completed by winners’cooperation,the projects completed by ten person are highest. And then import the data into CitespaceⅡ to get a visual map, by the map, we can find out that the number of times that each researchers involved in cooperation is low, the author thinks that the main reason is the National Prize for Progress in Science and Technology involves a number of areas, and quiet a lot of scholars focus on their own areas,at the same time most of them win the prize for only once, resulting in the overall level of cooperation between each person lower.The fifth part, analysis of the distribution of institution and the scientific collaboration network.Through the statistics of the data, we can find out that the 76 percent of projects are completed by institutions’cooperation,and with the increase of the number of the cooperation mechanism, the winning project number showed decreasing trends, major colleges and universities are the main award-winning agency, followed by large hospitals and research institutes, while the company rarely winning. And then import the data into CitespaceⅡ to get a visual map, by the map, we can find out that with time, the trend of the inter agency cooperation in scientific research cooperation has increased obviously.Taking Zhejiang University and Tsinghua University as the representative of the universities are the main place of knowledge discovery, the main mechanism to promote scientific and technological development.
