A Research About Social Security Of The New Gneration Migrant Workers In Guigang In The Process Of Urbanization

Along with the rapid advance of industrialization and non-agriculture in China, a large number of agricultural population move to city and town, the new generation migrant workers has become the main part of the agricultural population of transfer. The slow household registration system reform and a case of the urban-rural dual structure which have not been fundamentally eliminate in the past long-term formation, have brought in a new urban-rural dual structure which the new generation migrant workers and local residents as the main part in inner cities and towns, but the new generation migrant workers who come into the town did not benefit from the same social security as the local residents, and the obstruction of their urbanization has been seriously affecting the development of social harmonious and the quality of urbanization.To ensure the effective implementation of the social security of the agricultural population of transfer, including the the new generation migrant workers, is the important guarantee of their urbanization. In recent years, with the quickly improvement of urbanization after being a western province, the urbanization of the new generation migrant workers is orderly proceeding, and Guangxi is making efforts to achieve a complete coverage of urban basic public services of permanent residents. However, the social security affair in cities of Guangxi met a lot of practical problems and difficulties, which have brought serious effect to the urbanization of the new generation migrant workers, and become the bottleneck of the urbanization in Guangxi.This article takes the social security in the process of the urbanization of the new generation migrant workers in Guigang as a case, on the basis of the research work related to the current academia, by visiting some migrant workers of the new generation in the enterprises and individual businesses in the local, using the author’s work practice, through the way of literature research and empirical study, analyzing their characteristics and the present situation and reasons for the lack of social security in the process of their urbanization, and put forward some solutions of social security problems. I hope this article would be helpful to solve the social security problems of the new generation migrant workers.This article is divided into five parts, the first part makes an introduction to the research background, the purpose and meaning of selecting topic, and the research status in the domestic and overseas. The second part makes an overview of related concepts and theories of the new generation migrant workers social security. First, it makes the concept definition of the new generation migrant workers and the urbanization, then combines the related theory of social security, and finally analyzes the relation between the urbanization of the new generation migrant workers and social security, states the relevant experience in the domestic and overseas. The third part analyzes the present situation of social security of the new generation migrant workers in Guigang and find out the problems, basing on the results of the interview survey. The fourth part makes a deep analysis of problems which have been found out, and try to find out the reasons. The fifth part puts forward the solutions of social security problems in the process of the urbanization of the new generation migrant workers, according to the results of research and analysis.
