Genetically Modified Crops Commercial Argument Research In China

In Sep 7th,2013, a famous social media journalist, Fang Zhou Zi, has spoken to the public that the government should encourage their people to accept GMF (genetically modified food), such as genetically modified corn. However, this suggestion suffered passionately against from Cui Yong Yun who is a famous compere from CCTV immediately. After than this, an argument about whether the GMF should be commercially popularized by the government maintained a high attention on Chinese social media for more than six months. Even through the argument itself has also received a lot attention from public.In this paper, Chinese commercial history of development of GMF and GMF technologies was introduced. On the other hand, in order to better describe the compliance behind this argument, this research has questioned commercial development process of GMF from a third world ecological feminism’s view. Vandana Shiva’s developmental analysis of GMF commercial process was used as an example. As result, the current developmental model of GMF has proved to be a hidden aggression under the background of globalization that use technology methods and leaded by developed countries; Such development is controlled by patricentric ideology and separated society dualistically and hierarchically. It aims at to re-construct and control the weaker side between developed and developing countries; government and civilization; scientists and farmers. This is not a real development. Therefore, this research, using feminism theory, is engaged to lead a thinking of a new equalized and lovingness develop model of GMF and criticize the old GMF develop model.The argue point used in this paper can not only lead scholars to jump out from boundedness of a specific problem or to reconsider this argument with a whole new methodology, but also provided suggestions about how to develop the GMF constantly.
