Tianjin HiP company is one factory of Singapore HiP group, the second large mobile radio and radio component manufacture in China after Shanghai HiP company. Tianjin HiP company is the only factory with whole manufacture process of electronic product at HiP group, include electronic product design, mechanical component manufacture. PCBA board manufacture, and full radio assembly & testing & packing. As a factory, only Foxconn could compare with Tianjin HiP company at Hua Bei area, with whole manufacture process. Since founded at 2003, Tianjin HiP factory has provide excellent ODM and OEM service for many international company, such as Motorola, Nokia, Samsung, YOTA and etc, yearly revenue more than 1 billion dollar. Its quality management has been elevated from simple quality control at the very start when Tianjin HiP company was founded in 2003 to today’s ISO9001:2008 Quality Assurance System, quality management system more and more comprehensive. However, with the economic globalization, competition more and more fierce, raw material cost more and more upward, product price more and more downward, more and more function developed in mobile radio, manufacture process more and more complex, and other factors influence, product yield worsen not only at internal but also at other OEM manufacture, material return cost and rework cost very high and profit lost too much. Under such challenging situations, Tianjin HiP company. as a company, has not made a dedicated study on the quality management of product inspection, especially for last inspection before ship to customer.1 have been working with customer quality engineer at quality department since 2011. in charge of project quality management. Involved in quality management since new product develop, monitor yield in mass production and handle customer complaint. This thesis is written based on my experience over the years in product quality management and quality system management and it is filled with study cases and actual data analysis. Focusing on the quality management structure of Tianjin HiP Company as well as on the key elements of the quality aussurance system. This thesis, from perspectives of quality planning, quality control, quality assurance, and quality management improvement, reveals the quality-related issues that exist in product inspection including:poor inspection ability, poor traceability, urgent case handle slow, yield unstable and etc. Analyzing root cause of these issues:one inspection need check all side of product, without applied Lean production on inspection, without a procedure to handle urgent case, without enough training and examine to operator. At last, point out new method to improve final inspection:applied Lean production method on inspection station(divide inspection work and pile line operation for inspection), training and examine inspect ability at regular interval, setup a quick response quality control system handle urgent case to avoid more lost.
