The Study On The Effect Of Different Regional Residents’ Consumption Structure On The Industrial Structure Adjustment

Since 1978, the reform and opening up to now has been 30 years, In our country, the early days of material products in short supply situation has been changed,now the great wealth of material products and services is more than requirements, to some extent,in the process of industrial structure adjustment and the rapid development of social economy, consumer demand is a vital factor. Now, Chinese has entered a critical period of economic structure adjustment,the changing of consumption structure has become one of the most important factors which affects the adjustment of industrial structure. Having a good knowledge about the adjustment about consumption structure will be helpful in the adjustment of industrial structure, so as to promote the steady growth and sustainable development of the economy in China.The purpose of this paper is to study the change of consumption structure of urban and rural residents for the optimization of industrial structure. About theory, A detailed analysis has been made about consumption structure and industrial structure, and I carefully discusses the mechanism about how the consumption structure affect the industrial structure. In addition, also analyzed the influence of technology, foreign trade and other factors on the industrial structure, we believe that the consumption structure of different regions have different effects on the industrial structure. Foreign trade has a positive effect on the adjustment of industrial structure. Empirically, this paper selected the ratio of third industry and second industry output value, the Engel coefficient of urban and rural residents, the total factor productivity of five variables to represent the following factors: the upgrading of the industrial structure, the rate of consumption structure, foreign trade, technology, then I constructed a panel econometric model for empirical analysis. In order to make a clear and dynamic study about how those variables impact the upgrading of the industrial structure, we based on the data from the year 1995 to 2011 of 30 provinces and cities, established a panel data model, through scientific and rational analysis, the final conclusion is selected.
