Research On The Relationship Between The Implementation Of Corporate Social Responsibility And Its Performance

Currently,there are so many researches on the relationship between the corporate social responsibility and its performance,but it has not been able to come to a unified conclusion, that mainly because the researches are based on different angles. About the relationship, business community holds different opinions, due to legal constraints and the different characteristics of individual entrepreneurs. Business plays different roles in different social responsibility, some companies actively assume their social responsibility, while some companies like finding loopholes, unwilling to take social responsibility. Oil and gas industry is a heavy polluting industry, closely related to people’s daily life.The fulfillment of the industry’s corporate social responsibility has always been concerned about the community. On the basis of theories about the relationship,this paper selects the oil and gas industry which perform better corporate social responsibility as a case, in order to survey the correlation between them.The case study of this paper will focus on the relationship between social responsibility and financial performance, and analyze the correlation between them.Then the author will use the Pearson correlation matrix,so as to test if the company perform social responsibility can enhance corporate performance or not. And by observing the overall situation of enterprise social responsibility’s fulfillment for the sake of determining the social responsibility strategy of the corporate adopted in the case. Through the analysis of corporate social responsibility in the case, the author makes relevant suggestions aiming at the problem in corporate social responsibility. The main conclusions of this paper is listed as follows: The overall situation about social responsibility in the industry of oil and gas exploration is fine; the relationship between social responsibility performance and financial performance is positive, social responsibility is conducive to enhancing corporate financial performance;the corporate who owns good financial performance can promote him to assume social responsibility.
