Study On The Influential Factors Of The Four Major State-owned Commercial Banks’ Profitability

Along with the deepening of financial reform, the research on commercial banks’ profitability caused the high attention, to profitability evaluation system of State-owned Commercial Banks and the influence factor of profitability analysis are increasingly. State-owned Commercial Banks as the most important part of the financial system of China, the relevant research of its profit ability development is advantageous to the state-owned Commercial Banks to clear its own position, with the aid of profitability defined the influential factors of the State-owned Commercial Bank can be more targeted to improve their own shortcomings.Compared with the previous research, this thesis conducted on research methods and research view point innovation. In research methods, this paper abandoned the used regression method by EVIEWS method and the model of DEA, and using SPSS17.0 software obtains four State-owned Commercial Banks profitability public impact factor and its corresponding weight, making the research more scientific. On the research point of view, this article takes special financial environment as an opportunity, based on the related data from 2008 to 2013, studied the era after the financial crisis, the change of the four major State-owned Commercial Banks profitability as well as the main influence factors of macro economic variables, monetary policy and the introduction of foreign banks enter the factors, improving the accuracy of the research.The paper is composed of five chapters. The first chapter is the introduction part, mainly introduced the the background of the paper, research significance and innovative points. The second chapter is the relevant literature review. For the purpose of the definition of State-owned Commercial Banks, and on this basis introduces the commercial bank profitability and profit ability of judgment, finally points out the main problems and shortages existing in previous research at home and abroad. The third chapter is the analysis of the four major State-owned Commercial Banks profit ability. With the development history of the four major State-owned Commercial Banks and related data analysis of the four major State-owned Commercial Banks, reveals the profit status quo of China’s four major state-owned commercial Banks. The fourth chapter is the influence factors of the four Major State-owned Commercial Banks profitability analysis. The normative analysis and empirical analysis of the state-owned commercial bank profitability affecting factors. Normative analysis mainly from the micro factor(bank size, liquidity, business structure, operational efficiency and risk control capacity), macro factors(economy, inflation, monetary policy), and empirical analysis on influence factors profitability is on the basis of index system building, using factor analysis method for dimension reduction, end up with four factors affecting the public variables, which in turn named management and innovative factors, scale and adaptability factor, competitive factor, factor mobility, through various public variable variance contribution rate of each influence factor of sensitivity, the four major State-owned Commercial Banks in the scores and comprehensive scores on each of the public variables, it is concluded that the four Major State-owned Commercial Banks profit ability ranked as follows: China Construction Bank, Bank of China, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, Agricultural bank of China. At the end of the article, the author put forward policy suggestions to improve the four Major State-owned Commercial Banks profitability from the commercial Banks themselves as well as the country’s two aspects.
