With the development and popularization of Internet technology, e-commerce has developed rapidly in China. Up to June of 2014, Chinese online shoppers was 332 million, which is 29.62 million more than that at the end of 2013, the semi-annual growth rate is 9.8%. The Age of the Internet and big data has dramatically changed insurance industry. The online premium income of Chinese insurance e-commerce in 2013 is 8.32 billion, with year-on-year growth of 110.3 percent. Internet channel became the new frontier for the competition during insurance companies. However, due to the variety of insurance e-commerce pattern and the lack of experience in e-commerce, many insurance companies have come across a lot of problems In the process of constantly groping forward, which hindered the progress of insurance e-commerce.CPIC Panjin branch is urgent to carry on own Insurance e-commerce solutions in the face of continuously heated competitive situation of insurance e-commerce. This paper gave a brief introduce CPIC Panjin branch respectively from the perspective of development strategy, primary business, business environment and target customer. Then pointed out the current situation of development and predicament being confronted, set out the necessity of implementing e-commerce for CPIC Panjin branch. On this basis, this paper put forward the corresponding development strategy for CPIC Panjin branch in order to offer some references for the further development of e-commerce business of CPIC Panjin branch:being clear-out on the functions in the development of electronic commerce, designing insurance products which is suitable for Internet channel, strengthening the promotion of the website, reinforcing the construction of the Web applications. Finally, this study analyzed the potential risk and risk prevention measures of current insurance e-commerce. And then put forward supporting measures for the development of CPIC Panjin branch’s e-commerce business:Strengthening customer relationship management, changing the structure of the organization, enhancing the cultivation of Network insurance talents.The defects of CPIC panjin branch in electronic commerce greatly limit the CPIC panjin branch of e-commerce business.Theses shortcomings are important limits on the development of e-commerce of CPIC Panjin branch. The results might be beneficial to CPIC Panjin branch to carry out targeted e-commerce development strategies, thus further facilitate customer retention rates and finally promote customer satisfaction and customer loyalty. Meanwhile the great development of e-commerce platform provides CPIC Panjin branch a large variety of customer information data, thereby, promote sufficient analyses on consumer demand and consumer preferences of potential customers, transform potential customer into existing customers consequently.
