| Urbanization is the only way of modernization and an important way to solve the problem of agriculture, countryside and farmers. Urbanization is also strong support to promote regional harmony and is significant power to expand domestic demands and accelerate industrial upgrading. In the background of urbanization lag in China, to speed up the construction of urbanization and follow new pattern urbanization way is one of the grand strategies in our country on this stage. In fact, nowadays the phenomenon of urban-rural dual structure in China is serious, and the gap between urban and rural areas is constantly widening. The task to balance urban and rural urbanization development, in the way of new pattern urbanization, is still difficult. In the process of urbanization, rural urbanization is the weak link and the crucial link in our country. Taking the national and rural conditions of China into consideration, rural urbanization is an important way to promote rural economic and social development and narrow the gap between urban and rural areas. Rural urbanization also plays an important role in dealing with the problem of "agriculture, rural areas and farmers".For a long time, traditional methodology in the perspective of township-city migration urbanization framework still dominates in domestic urbanization research. As contrast, researches on the process of urbanization in the countryside, that is rural urbanization, is seriously neglected. In Fujian province, the regional differences of urbanization is distinct, so Fujian province needs to speed up the construction of rural urbanization in order to narrow the widening gap between urban and rural areas. This article studies the regional differences and influencing factors of rural urbanization in Fujian province. It helps to promote exploration of the rural urbanization influencing factors and put forward some policy suggestions regarding the rural urbanization construction in Fujian province.Firstly, this article elaborated the current situation of urbanization development of Fujian province from the two aspects, including characteristics and problems of the rural urbanization development. Then the article established a comprehensive evaluation index system of rural urbanization, according to the connotation of the rural urbanization. The rural urbanization level in 2012 of 58 counties and county-level cities of Fujian province had been measured with the evaluation index system. After multiple perspectives analysis and comparison, a conclusion was drawn, that the obvious regional differences of the rural urbanization development in Fujian province mainly embodied in the southeast coast and the northwest inland.Secondly, based on relevant theories of urbanization and the research on rural urbanization from the previous scholars both at home and abroad, a rural urbanization index system of influencing factors had been built. The index system contains industrial pushing power, main body force of urbanization and population appealing factors. Then nine influence factors had been selected, and put into the multiple regression analysis by using the Eviews6.0 software. Results showed that industrialization had the greatest influence on rural urbanization, followed by the agricultural development, again is the role of the third industry, government function, township and village enterprises and foreign investment, and the income gap between urban and rural areas will hinder the rural urbanization development. Industrial power and government investment had significant influence on northwest inland; however the township and village enterprises and foreign investment had no significant influence on northwest inland areas.Finally, according to the rural urbanization influence factors analysis results and different situations of the southeast inland area and the northwest coastal area, corresponding policy recommendations for the two areas had been put forward to promote the development of rural urbanization. |
