| Civil aviation transport industry is not only an important strategic industry in our country’s economic and social development, but also an important carrier of regional economic exchanges and cooperation. Civil aviation transport, owning to its special functions of improving investment environment, enhancing information exchange, expanding circulation scope and improving circulation efficiency, is playing an increasingly important role in China’s regional economic development process. Due to sustained and stable economic growth, accelerating urbanization, as well as residents" consumption level improvement, which requires inter-regional civil aviation transport network layout more reasonable to meet regional economic development needs and prompt transport services quality into efficient, safe, comfortable and specialization direction. However, unbalanced, uncoordinated problems in current development of civil aviation industry are still outstanding, which not only directly affect whether regional economic construction can gain coordinated development or not. but also related to China’s regional economic pattern formation. Proceeding in the perspective of promoting economic growth in regions, this paper studied and analyzed the impact of civil aviation transport on regional economic growth, and then proposed correspondent policy recommendations for the development and planning of civil aviation transport.Firstly, existing literatures are reviewed and summarized in this paper, and we proposed the research focus of this article on the basis of absorbing previous studies. Then we conducted theoretical analyses of civil aviation transport and economic growth mechanism combined with existing theories. Treating civil aviation transport system as one of economic systemic factors, we analyzed its relationship with economic growth from the perspective of spatial transaction costs, corporate behaviors, influences of regional growth in urban areas urban development spatial accessibility affect. These contents would be served as a theoretical foundation for the research in this paper.Secondly, we analyzed the overall situation and development trend of civil aviation transport industry and especially focused on influence factors and structure distribution features analyses of civil aviation transport industry in eastern China. Results showed that GDP is the most important factor affecting the level of civil aviation in eastern China, and there are great differences of civil aviation gathering level in every province.Then we pointed out major development issues existed in regional aviation transportation industry, and formed a relatively comprehensive understanding towards regional civil aviation industry.From above, using the Cobb-Douglas production function, we introduced the civil aviation transport system as an economic factor into the model. At first, used traditional panel model to estimate and found the existence of spatial correlation, considered spillover effects of civil aviation transport on regional economic growth, then we introduced it into theoretical model to establish growth model and made empirical researches based on spatial econometrics methods. Results showed that the role of civil aviation in eastern China’s economic growth can not be ignored, which not only produced a positive promotion effect, but also existed comparatively significant spillover effects. Next, we proposed corresponding policy recommendations according to theoretical bases, comparison and analysis of empirical research results.Finally, we summarized main conclusions of this study, explained some aspects in this paper still need deep research and perfection, and gave further illustration of research outlook in this research. |
