Research On Optimization Strategy Of ERP System In Western Mining Co

Recent years, most enterprises in nonferrous industry start to improve products’ qualities and management strategies to cut cost as the commodity price continue to be in easy. Meanwhile, they realize, with the integration of informatization and industrialization and carrying out of industry 4.0, that they can’t succeed without informatization and ERP. The implement of ERP directly correlates to the application of ERP. Unfortunately, most of them do not know ERP very well which leads to poor on-line effects of ERP. Consequently, they spend hundreds of millions on ERP and only to see it turns to be useless "online financial software". Therefore, research targeted at optimization strategy of ERP system has theoretical and practical importance.This paper, referring to some related theories, focuses on some optimization strategies for ERP system based on the research of ERP system adopted by Western Mining Company in 2012. Firstly, the paper introduces the background of the research and its meaning and approaches and contents of the research. Secondly, it talks about theories about ERP, main methods of implication and main trends of ERP development in domestic and foreign enterprises. Then, it analyzes the current informatization situation, background of ERP implication and main contents of ERP implication of Western Mining Company. Based on above analysis, it exploits the effects, existing problems of ERP implication in Western Mining Company and main reasons of the problems. Finally, this paper put forward six optimization strategies targeting at the existing problems.This main purpose of this paper is to give some constructive suggestions and guidance to the enterprises, especially to those who have been carrying out ERP and make them more confident in implication. Certainly, the paper has some limitations. With the emergence of new technologies and detailed management in nonferrous industry and development of automation equipment, better optimization strategies will be found to help enterprises in ERP implication in future.
