Elderly Immigrants’ Problems About Economic Security

Agricultural transfer of population which is not a new formulation,but it is really recognized by the people was after the Eighteenth Conference of the Communist Party of China National People’s Congress November 8,2012, held clearly "accelerate the reform of the household registration system, an orderly transfer of agricultural population Residents......".Whether it is new urbanization or citizenship, is a feature of recent years, the development of our society.Researchers in-depth research and analysis for the transfer of agricultural population that "agricultural transfer of population" peasant workers in the past is to develop and deepen. This includes both the peasant-workers, and the people who live and work into the city from the countryside.This paper studied the immigrant elderly follow the peasant-workers is concept which separated from the Agricultural transfer of population, however, it is not just a concept group,but is a large number of combination of the author’s own life observation and documentation of after reading such a group exists in real life. For those immigrant elderly, immigrate not only means geospatial changed but also the live environment changed.This is the most important questions that how to age in a new environment and how to solve the economic problem even although it is not the primary facing.Researching for the immigrant elderly followed the peasant-workers, this paper has the follo wing a few key points:Firstly, the object of study immigrant elderly,which accurate alignme nt the elderly who with the children of peasant-workers into the city. Which in different to the previous definition of the immigrant elderly, has its own characteristics;Secondly, the conten t of the study was the pension issue of immigrant elderly followed the peasant-workers, the a uthor studied the past scholars of the immigrant elderly in the reference, find the pension que stion as a starting point; Again, because of the broader pension issues contained in the conte nt, the author of the paper can not research thoroughly, so just choose the economic Security issues for study;Finally, according to the way progressive layers, from the analysis of the eco nomic sources of the pension, and then analyzed the Economic Security problems of immigrant elderly and propose solutions.This paper adopted purposive sampling approach.Layer structure is based in Chengdu,211 immigrant elderly follow the peasant-workers were selected for the survey,and use interviews and observations to the 21 elderly in-depth interviews,and collected questionnaires and qualitative data collate and exploratory analysis combined with welfare economics theory and resource allocation theory of "filial piety culture", as well as the immigrant elderly follow the peasant-workers with its own characteristics, to immigrant elderly of 6 major source of income for the line,analyzed immigrant elderly economic guarantee problems.The results show that the financial security of the immigrant elderly follow the peasant-workers seem more sources (include:children rely on old-age pension insurance pension, retirement savings,commercial pension insurance pension, government subsidies pension, endowment income to rely on Rural Land), in fact, it is facing serious problems, most of the elderly are less protection even insecurity. The author studies the process according to the specific problems of immigrant elderly economic security, and put forward appropriate solutions. The above findings, is a response to the core research question of this article.
