Research On Countermeasures For Flight Delays In Air Transportation System Of China

With the rapid development of the national economy and the improvement of the people’s living standards, more and more people would like to take flight as their travel choice. Under the background of the fast-paced era, the aircraft has enjoyed more and more popularity from the public, especially business traveler and tourists, due to its characteristics as safe, efficient and fast. However, while we enjoy the convenience of the flight, we are also distressed by the weaknesses, the main contradiction of which is the delay of flights. Flight delays during the travel will not only disappoint the passengers’ purpose to exchange the time with money, but also bring great economy losses on airlinesThe flight delays lead to the increasing conflicts between the passengers and airlines, and the group incidents caused by the flight delays have occurred very often, which has seriously disturbed the normal operation of the air transport system. The flight delays have already become a hot social issues and focus, and how to deal with the flight delays has become our top priority of concerns.This paper starts from the present growth situation of China Civil Aviation Industry, specifies that the flight delay not only causes negative effects to passengers and airlines, but also to the national macro-economy. The paper analyzes the reason of causing flight delays, and research more on the responsibility judgments. Base on such background, this paper analyzes the resource assignment model, multi-commodity network flow model, a discrete-time approximation model. On this basis, the paper introduces the CDM mechanism to build the flight delay recovery models so as to reduce the flight delay within the shortest time. In the end, the paper put forward countermeasures on how to improve the airlines operation, meanwhile the paper emphasizes on passenger service and compensation during the flight delay.
