Automobile manufacturing enterprise is the pillar industry of China’s economy. Ithas played a significant role in increasing revenue, stimulating employment andeconomic growth. Automotive supply chain is the most complex supply chain, autocompanies generally can not be done independently from the parts to the final productto the customer, the whole process must be combined upstream and downstreamenterprises to implement supply chain management. Because procurement costsaccount for over60%of the manufacturing cost, while the cost of procurement for theauto companies is as much as75%, procurement chain is very important toautomobile manufacturing enterprises. In the21st century, the world economicenvironment is more complex, personalized, diversified consumption has broughtopportunities to automotive companies, but also challenges. Facing market demandand environment’s uncertainty deepening, flexibility as a good medicine response touncertainty, improving the automobile enterprises purchasing flexibility is particularlyimportant for the entire automotive supply chain. Previously people researchflexibility of automotive supply chains, and then, facing the complex supply chains,car companies need to research flexibility of procurement—a important aspect of theautomotive supply chains first, so as to realize the entire chain flexibility. Therefore,improving procurement flexibility is becoming increasingly important.The article chooses the perspective of automobile manufacturing enterprise.Firstly, summarizes the current status of automobile enterprises procurement, give adetailed study on the problem of automobile manufacturing enterprise.Then on thebasis of the analysis of SC environment, understanding of the concept of flexible andanalysis of procurement flexibility, procurement flexibility indicator system isestablished, including three first-level indicators：buffering capacity, adaptability andinnovative ability. These indications are detailed one by one, and at the end amulti-layer flexible evaluation system is established. Finally, based on the flexibleindicator system, fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method is used to evaluateindicators, AHP and entropy weight are used to achieving the weight of1st levelindicators. Then metric values of procurement flexibility is received. The result ofprocurement flexibility measurement will help automobile manufacturing enterpriseimprove procurement management, increase procurement flexibility with importantsignificance.
