Today there is a widespread concern over the issue about enterprise cultural identity,which is the key factor contributing to the success of the enterprise culture construction.Based on study of the theoretical literature, the present study examined the relationshipsbetween enterprise cultural identity and the job performance of employees with a sample of232enterprise staffs from Linyi City, by using the Organization Cultural IdentityQuestionnaire and the Job Performance Questionnaire. The results were as follows:Theidentity level of enterprise staffs to the enterprise cultural identity overall was higher than themedium, Concretely speaking, staff’s identity level in the socialization dimension was highest,and those in cognition dimension was lowest.The situations that population statisticsvariables in the enterprise cultural identity dimensions were mostly different. Total enterprisecultural identity of staffs showed significant differences among working age, educationalbackground, position levels and the month income, but significant difference among sexesnot found.There was organization variables difference of enterprise cultural identity. Totalenterprise cultural identity of staffs showed significant differences among the nature ofenterprise and employee quantity.There was significant positive correlations among threefactors of enterprise culture and four factors of enterprise cultural identity and two factors ofjob performance. Enterprise culture was generally a significant positive predictor of staff’senterprise cultural identity. Supportive culture can significantly predict all factors ofenterprisecultural identity, and innovative culture can significantly predict the socialization dimensionof enterprise cultural identity, but bureaucratic culture is not a significant predictor.Enterprisecultural identity can significantly predict job performance. To be specific, the identity level ofcognition and behavior dimension can significantly predict task performance, and eachdimension of the enterprise cultural identity was a significant predictor of contextualperformance. Enterprise cultural identity had complete mediating effect between enterpriseculture and job performance, that is to say, the effects of enterprise culture on jobperformance were completely mediated through enterprise cultural identity.
