A Study On SAP Cloud Service Cooperation Strategy Of Chinadatacom

It is analyzed that the internal and external circumstances that ChinaDatacomCorporation (CDC) are facing as the joint venture and the necessity and feasibility of thecooperation based on the fact that the carrier China Telecom and international IT supplierSAP will deploy the Cloud service jointly and the specific strategy of implementing theCloud service business is raised in the thesis.The methodology of comparison and analysis is adopted and large amounts of data isresearched. The recent development of Cloud Computing and Carrier’s change and thecountermeasure against it is taken as the starting point. The various opinions held bydomestic and abroad researchers against the change and the challenges SAP and ChinaTelecom face in the field of Cloud computing software services is reviewed. Through theanalysis to CDC current status and its capabilities, the pros and cons and its bottleneck forfurther development is identified in this thesis. It is commented that CDC can grasp theopportunity of acting as the service provider in China of SAP Cloud, realize the businesstransformation, get the new increasing point. The Cloud business strategy of SAP as wellas China Telecom is elaborated. Both of them would like to develop CDC as the corepartner of SAP in China, leveraging the customer resources of SAP and China Telecom. ASWOT analysis to the cooperation is given, the necessity of the cooperation is concluded.In the end, it is explained how to focus on the customer resources, how to select the properproduct and how to develop the marketing activities with the topic of Cloud environmentwhen CDC and SAP setting up the cooperation relationship and pushing forward it. In aword, through the thorough consideration to the internal and external conditions of bothparties, helps the enterprise to focus on own strength and high opportunities to optimizethe success of the cooperation strategy. This thesis aims to provide references and ideas todeploy Cloud services jointly by international software provider and domestic carriers aspart of the transformation, to provide the thinking and scheme for cooperation.
