The Research On The Influence Of Enterprise Knowledge Boundary To Enterprise Innovation Performance

With the epistemology’s progressing, the world economic’s developing, the technology’sdeveloping and the management’s innovating, the word of “knowledge economy” is produced. Thenthe concept of “knowledge management” is appeared. Followed, knowledge management hasquickly become a hot spot in business circles, management, information management and otherfields of research. The production of knowledge economy and knowledge management can promptmore new knowledge, which will outside into innovation in organizations ultimately. Existingresearches show that knowledges’ division and cooperation between organizations occupies afundamental position. Good division and cooperation can let organizations achieve higherinnovation performance. So to achieve cooperative innovation between organizations, it isnecessary to consider the allocation of knowledge among organizations. Because of knowledges’division requires organizations which in cooperate network to keep domain knowledges in a certaintechnical field, thus the problem of enterprise knowledge boundary is appeared.This paper which from the perspective of knowledge management has an in-depth analysisabout the issue of knowledge boundary in enterprise. To combined with innovation performance,this paper builds a mechanism model about enterprise knowledge boundary and enterpriseinnovation performance. Based on analysis to the mechanism model, this paper establishes ahypothesis model about enterprise knowledge boundary to enterprise innovation performance. Atthe same time, the paper puts forward relevant assumptions. Finally, by using questionnaire surveymethods, this paper makes empirical analysis to the models and hypotheses.By researching, this paper verifies the enterprise knowledge base, the knowledge flows inenterprise, the knowledge flows among enterprises can as the three dimensions to measureenterprise knowledge boundary. This paper also verifies positive related impacts between the threedimensions and the enterprise innovation performance. After introducing the knowledge absorptivecapacity, this paper analyses it plays the mediating role between the enterprise knowledge boundaryand the enterprise innovation performance. And the paper verifies the proposed hypothesis about theknowledge absorptive capacity as well. Through a series of analytical study, this paper verifies therelevance among the three dimensions to measure enterprise knowledge boundary and the threedimensions.This paper also verifies the enterprise knowledge boundary’s expand has a positiveimpact on the enterprise innovation performance. From the perspective of enterprise knowledgeboundary, this paper has a certain significance to improving the enterprise innovation performance.
