Research On Exploitation Effect Of New Town In Wuhan City Circle

In the background of current rapid urbanization, most cities are promoting the urbanexpansion immoderately for development regardless of the cost, leading to new townconstruction in full swing. However, the result was unsatisfactory, for instance, theconstruction activity damaged the ecological environment, town development becamepure real estate projects, the new town had difficulty in accumulation of popularity andetc.Thus, facingsuchsituation, it is necessary to rationally introspect the issue of thecurrent new town construction.This paper selects three pre-start projects, including Huashan Eco-City (Wuhan),Phoenix Tree Lake New Town (Ezhou),and Zishan Lake New Town (Xianning), of "two-oriented society" constructionin Wuhan city circleas the object, for the reason thatthese three new towns typically representing those in suburban and periphery haveprofoundly affected on region development by efficient construction with disparateconditions on resource and evolution during the past five years.According to the study, itshows that: Huashan ecological city from an ecological point of view to start driving byintroducing industry, taking advantage of the surrounding and their own resources toproduce their own sustained hematopoietic effects, which is conducive to the evacuationof center city population and industrial transfer. In contrast, having been wronglypositioned, insufficient guidelines in lake industry, cross-administrative cooperation andother reasons, lead to the unsatisfactory result, just staying in the traditional model ofadministrative center drivendevelopment while having no favorable consequence, ofdevelopment and implementation of Phoenix Tree Lake New Town. In addition, ZishanLake New Townrelies on inter-city railwayto achieve the effects on corporativedevelopment. The residential project attained good results in the early period, such asattracting a large number of population transferin Wuhan, and even generating tourismattraction for the population in Guangzhou and Shenzhen. However,the risk still exists, forthat simply relying on the traffic can only form dormitory town resulting from the city’slack of its own hematopoietic function.Thus future sustainable development needs to betaken into serious consideration. Through the vertical and horizontal analysis on strategic decisions, operationalimplementation, and implementation effect in the three new towns,the study aimed atreflect various problems existing in the current new town exploitation, such as the newstrategic context of urbanization, co-construction on space and society, blind expansion ofown conditions and so on. Despite the problems arise from the complex, rational analysisand decision on new town project should be paid more attention of the local government,and the blind development of regional ecology of irreversibility is also worth assessment.The new town exploitation should be excavation on characteristics of their own resourcesbased on regional perspective, rather than blind expansion.
