Thirty years ago the birth of the first low-cost airlines, thedevelopment of rapid, low-cost airlines in the continent are active inthe figure. Asia as a large population, rising consumption in emergingcountries, corresponding to the Asian low-cost airlines are booming withthe same time, have great market prospects. The same is true of China,a huge market potential, but the special conditions of China civilaviation industry, airlines now, especially the local, smaller airlines,how to choose a development path suited to its own, this is also in therat race, to seek survival and development of the important strategicchoice.This article in accordance with the theory of Porter’s cost leadershipstrategy, competitive strategy theory to analyze the idea, the use of PEST,SWOT analysis and other means, The review the existing low-cost airlinethe success experience on the basis of the xia’men air, the actualsituation is mainly discussed xia’men air low-cost airline strategyformulated and implemented. The thesis of a total of six: the first part,the paper studies the problem and thinking, etc. Part ii provides researchsupport the theory is based on the paper. Such as from finance, aircraft, cabinservice, operational efficiency in a bid to prove that under the presentconditions, Xia’men airlines to choose low-cost strategy is in line withthe strategic direction of its future development.
