The Study On Interactional Relations Of Danxiashan World Natural Heritage With Local Rural Community

World Heritage Site is identified as a rarely, irreplaceable treasure by the UNESCO and the World Heritage Committee, while is recognized as an outstanding universal value of cultural relics and natural landscapes by human being. As global significative and unique resources, however, most of heritage sites have been currently developing to be tourist destinations. The rural communities which are located in the sites are not only an important part in ecosystems and tourism environment, but also one of the important groups related to the world heritage in society. Compared with ordinary rural communities, rural communities within heritage sites have been developing with contradiction of protection and tourism development of heritages. Therefore, to explore the issue for win-win between protection and development of world heritages and its local rural communities is necessary.From the view point of micro scale, this assay focuses on Danxiashan World Natural Heritage Site of Guangdong and the local rural community as a case, based on the summary of domestic and international researches on relations between heritage sites and communities, combining with academic knowledge of economics, sociology and tourism systematically, applies Participatory Rural Appraisal to investigate economic conditions of Danxiashan World Natural Heritage and the local rural community, the cognition and attitudes of residents to Danxiashan and the influence of Danxiashan’s protection and tourism on the residents. Meanwhile, it attempts to sort out and analyze the interactive relationship between the protection and tourism development of world natural heritage and the local rural community, to explore the reason of conflict and how to solve this problem, what to deduce a feasible way to achieve the goal to make the world natural heritage and local rural communities develop better.It consists of six parts at this assay. Firstly, introduction mainly including the background and its significance, review, methods and technical route of the research. Secondly, it describes the basic information of Danxiashan World Natural Heritage. Thirdly, Participatory Rural Appraisal is introduced to investigate and analyze the development of local rural community, cognition and attitudes of residents to the protection and tourism development of Danxiashan and the influence of the protection and tourism of Danxiashan on sustainable development of rural community. Fourthly, it analyzes theoretically the mechanism of changes between Danxiashan World Natural Heritage and the local rural community and the reason for bottleneck of the proper interactive relations between them. Fifth, it focuses on discussion about the sustainable development of World Natural Heritage Site and the rural community, what to hope build up the goal of proper interactive relations between them. Sixth, the conclusion is to summarize the main views and point out the thorough research direction in the further.
