Since2006, the financial leasing industry in China developed rapidly. With the expanding of the scale of business and the continuous extension of operational areas, the companies’ business management and risk control capability have been improved so much. But in the mean time, the market mechanism in the entire industry is still not perfect, and both of the total and relative amounts of the industry lag behind financial leasing industry in developed countries. In such circumstances, the cross-border cooperation between the leasing companies and other financial institutions is particularly necessary. This thesis reviews the development of domestic and foreign financial leasing industry and analyzes the main problems limiting the development of the industry. To solve these problems, the thesis proposes the idea of carrying out the financial leasing business innovation model and builds a financial lease cross-border cooperation structure model. Through this model, leasing companies and banks, trust, securities, insurance agencies are combined to explore new forms of business. This thesis focuses on direct financial leasing in case of the cooperation of the leasing companies and banks, builds a direct financial leasing operational model. The thesis discusses the three funded:the only leasing company funded, the leasing companies with bank loans funded and the leasing companies with banks’ equity funded; and determines the relevant parameters. And then the thesis using the NPVR as an auxiliary index, explores the pros and cons of three ways under different circumstances, discusses the possible risks in this innovative mode of cooperation as well as the measures of risk aversion.
