Research Of Xiaoxiang Bank In Hunan Province Branches Layout

Abstract:Xiaoxiang bank was established around Oct2010, restructured by five city commercial banks within Hunan Province. After developing for three years, although it has139branches, there are still four debates of the branch layout. Firstly, lacking overall layout planning, the branch location is intensive in few cities. Secondly, site selection management is irregularity, lack of standard operating procedure. Thirdly, there is no classify management of branches, leading resource investment invalid. Lastly, breakeven point cannot be calculated because there is no calculation method.The author presented opinions of optimized branches layout strategy step by step. First of all, to set up a whole layout plan of Xiaoxiang bank in Hunan Province, and optimize cities branch layout in three years. The second step is to standardize the operation procedure with branch selection, to provide specific consideration of branch selection in order to put together for operation templating and standardization. Thirdly, to strengthen the branch classification, such as flagship branch, full function branch, professional branch and self-service branch, and to ensure the proportion of resources allocation. At last, the breakeven point of every branch will be calculated by revenue and costing analysis. Finally this paper proposed safeguards of optimized branches layout strategy to carry out the branches construction smoothly.
