A Study On The Smart Development Of Chengdu Rural Tourism

Tourism industry is the national strategic pillar industry. Rural tourism as an importantpart of the whole industry, is originated as a "farmhouse" of Pixian-an agricultural village ofChengdu City by the end of the1980’s. With20years of rapid development, the industrialscale of rural tourism gradually expanded across the country, and it has become an importantchannel to promote urban and rural area development in balance, and bring more income forthe farmers. The development of rural tourism in Chengdu is surpassing the development inthe whole country. Nevertheless, with the increase of informalization level, and thedevelopment of the wise city establishment, the demands of tourists are more and morepersonalized, the tourist experience is becoming more and more diverse, and the travelorganizations are more and more independent. Therefore, traditional model of rural tourismindustry which is featured with the word of mouth as the main marketing method, will notmeet consumer demands anymore, especially those are allocated in the countryside.Meanwhile the traditional mode of operation do not meet the needs of self-driving travelers,and they are becoming the major segment market for rural tourism. Therefore, it’s only thedirection of intelligent development that rural tourism may successfully carry outtransformation and upgrading.In order to promote the sound development of rural tourism in Chengdu, with the marketdemand orientation, improvement of the service level, promotion of the transformation andupgrading of rural tourism industry, this article starts from the "smart city” and “smarttourism" projects analysis, make research on the present situation of rural tourism in Chengduand the problems exist, propose the background, purpose and significance of the smartdevelopment of rural tourism in Chengdu, as well as its necessity and possibility. In the studyof the smart development of Chengdu Rural Tourism, new technology running for "smarttravels" operation is introduced to the development of Chengdu rural tourism, in order toimprove the proportion of technology implementation of Chengdu Rural tourism,, promotethe transformation and upgrading of Chengdu Rural tourism, speed up the construction paceof the smart rural tourism of Chengdu, to play the role of bench mark for the smart ruraltourism development in the whole country.Through studying and combining the new technology of "smart tourism", be based onthe background of the smart development of rural tourism in Chengdu and its necessity andpossibility, according to the existing problems of rural tourism in Chengdu, this thesisproposed a solution for the smart development of Chengdu Rural Tourism from the view of society, which may provide guidance instructions for the development of smart rural tourismin other cities.
