In today’s knowledge-based economy, human capital has become the first capitalof the enterprises and plays a critical role in the fierce competition to obtain thegrowth and development. As the only way to obtain and upgrade their human capitalinvestment, human capital has become an integral part of business investment activity.The new economic growth theory regards human capital as one of endogenousvariables effecting economic growth. Countries and enterprises come to realize theimportance of human capital, and some advanced enterprises have carried out someinvestment on human capital ending with not good results. Ways of human capitalinvestment play a critical role in achieving human capital investment success.Obviously, ways of enterprise human capital investment deserve to be studied.This article mainly discusses the ways of human capital investment with thecombination of normative research and case analysis. The article has a certaintheoretical significance as it enriches the theory of enterprise human capitalinvestment, and it also has a certain practical significance as it provides advice onhow to choose the effective way of human capital investment to further improve thehuman capital investment activities.The article consists of five parts. The first part introduces the article’s studybackground、study details and study values. The second part summarizes the materialson human capital investment from foreign and domestic learners and introduces thetheory of ways of human capital investment focusing on four ways of enterprisehuman capital investment. The third part introduces basic development conditions andstatus quo of XuGong Heavy Machine Company.Based on the introduction; we findout that the company has various ways of staff recruitment and incentivecompensation, which deserve to be learnt. However, the company still has problems,such as imperfect staff training and incomplete staff welfare. The fourth part is caseanalysis. Based on the analysis of the correlations of the enterprise’s total investmentin human capital and company earnings as well as the relevance of the different waysof human capital investment and company earnings to find out the effective ways ofhuman capital investment which are staff training investment and staff welfareinvestment, then the article gives some suggestion on future human capital investment, finally the article takes staffs loss risk as an example to discuss the prevention ofhuman capital investment risk. The fifth part is the summary of the article’s studydetails and the future vision of enterprise human capital investment.
