As the internet is popular and the market of private lending is blooming, P2P, which is a brand new pattern of private lending relied on internet platform is arising. P2P was born in Britain and was introduced and fast developed in China since2007. Until2013, there are more than500P2P platforms registered in China. As a new pattern of financing which base on traditional private lending, it broke the traditional information interaction mode and lending pattern via information technology. Considering that it satisfied the diversified demand in the market and eased the pressure of lending for medium and small-sized enterprises, it’s a useful supplement to the current banking system. However, the new pattern which is just on the right track has some potential risks and problems because that it’s still lack of regulations, supervision and automaticity. How can we confront the popularity of internet private lending and potential risks aroused with it? It’s becoming a fierce argument whether we should encourage or suppress it. As the realization form of private financing, the author thinks, it’s inevitable that some problem rose in the initial phase of the internet private lending, we should let it develops by itself and regulate it properly. This suggestion meets the requirement of finance reform and innovation.By using research method of comparative analysis and case studies, the article absorbed the theories of credit and capital and researches of predecessors. It concentrates on P2P lending. Via date collection and analysis, the author comprehensively analyzed the current condition and tendency for P2P lending, pointing out the problem of the lack of regulations, supervision and automaticity. Based on some experience from foreign counties, we can bring out some suggestion and measures, which is helpful for the future development of P2P lending platform.
