The application of credit card developed to be a new type of payment forms since latest half century. It’s in essence of consumption loans in forms that banks pay the deal for the customers. With the development of human life and production, the market of credit card becomes more and more large scale since it born. As it become to be an important part of the retail loans the bank, it’s also play a key role in the payment of the customers, especially the younger customers. Thus the credit card market becomes more and more important part of the economics.Domestic credit card market developed after the revolution and opening policy. But due to the environment of acquiring, POS applications, credit, economics, and payment habits, the scale of domestic credit card and credit card consumption grow slowly in the early years for a long time. But in the last20years, the domestic credit card related environmental factors also gradually perfected, that promotes the credit card market is showing a flourishing. Especially since2000, domestic commercial banks have joined the credit card issuers; domestic credit card market, especially in the first developed city has formed a large scale.This paper analyzes the credit card payment function and consumer credit two functions, in combination of investigation into the development status of China’s credit card business. Then the paper elaborated the related theory of credit card consumer demand. The empirical analysis through customer sampling data of a certain domestic bank in order to find out the following conclusions:it can find out respectively with the credit card payment function demand and the demand for consumption credit cardholders highly relevant features, and it is highly consistent with the customer life cycle consumption demand. At last, the paper makes further analysis in the current situation on the demand trend of development characteristics of the credit card market as a whole as well as the future of the cardholder. On the macro economy, laws and regulations as well as the construction of credit system, put forward the corresponding suggestion bank internal management and marketing strategy and personal credit card consumption etc.In this paper, through actual data demonstration, it can make further improve the theoretical content of the credit card consumption demand factors. At the same time, through the empirical study, the development of the credit card and national macro policy, the close relationship between the bank and the actual demand management measures.
