The Construction Scale Of High-speed Railway In Our Country From The Perspective Of Social Economy

Since the promulgation and implementation of in2004and the adjustment planning in2008, the construction of high-speed railway in our country has been entering into a rapid development period. Meanwhile many problems have also emerged. Currently there is still no relatively comprehensive research on the construction scale of high-speed railway in our country. Therefore what is the reasonable construction scale of high-speed railway which adapted to the social economy in different construction region is an important research topic.Purpose of this paper is to draw a conclusion that provides significant guidance on the future development trend of high-speed railway construction from the social economic perspective. The whole job contains:selecting and sorting out mass of data, analyzing and estimating with statistic method, elaborating related theories, and making up research report. Several kinds of analyzing methods, such as qualitative and quantitive analysis, theoretical and empirical analysis, are used in this paper.In this paper, we start from research on a large number of theoretical and methodological literatures of the scale of railway, highway and urban rail transit construction both at home and abroad. We summarize the main impact factors and respectively construct both the theoretical index system and empirical researching index system of the high-speed railway scale from the social economic perspective. Secondly, we select32high-speed railway line data as the sample data from the "four vertical and four horizontal" network in "the mid-long term for China’s railway network planning ".Thirdly, we use the multipleregressionmodel to confirm the high-speedrailway lines which adapted to the social economy well, and make discriminant analysis on the other lines. Then we can decide which lines should be built or not currently from the social economic perspective. Of course, the validity of this conclusion still needs to be proven. Finally, combined with China’s national conditions and the current situation of construction and operation of the high-speed railway in our country, we put forward to recommendations for improvement.
