| This research aimed to explore the differences of risk decision and inter-temporal decision-making behavior characteristics between lottery buyers and non-lottery buyers as well as the reasons for the differences. Foreign studies have suggested decision-making impairments in pathological gamblers, who showed the excessive focus on short-term interests while ignoring long-term losses "myopic" behavior, and there are few experimental psychology researches on domestic lottery buyers. In the present study,30non-pathological lottery buyers and30non-lottery buyers participated in the experiment, and their decision-making behaviors were assessed by using the classic, the Iowa gambling task paradigm inter-temporal decision-making task paradigm and the Go/NoGo experimental paradigm. The results showed that:a) In the Iowa gambling task, non-pathological lottery buyers prefer to choose loss cards, at the same time, their IGT scores and final income are significantly lower than the control group subjects;b) In the inter-temporal decision-making task, non-pathological lottery buyers’ selection probability of obtaining cash immediately is significantly higher than control group subjects’on the discount rate of0.25;c) In the Go/NoGo task, non-pathological lottery buyers more easily to react to "NoGo" stimulation, but to the reaction time of "Go" stimulation, there is no difference between two groups;d) The selection proportion of profit cards, IGT scores and final income of non-pathological lottery buyers were all significantly correlated to "NoGo" error response times, but the inter-temporal decision task performance and "NoGo" error response times were not correlated. In conclusion, this study found impaired risk decision-making and inter-temporal decision-making in the pathological lottery buyers and their "short-sighted" performance in risk decision is correlated with impulsivity. The results provided evidence for decision-making behavior characteristics of non-pathological lottery buyers. |
