The Research And Strategical Suggestions On The Development Of Community Bank Of Changsha Bank

Community bank, which originated in the U.S., is a successful development modeof the American commercial banks. American community banks are usually smallcommercial banks, which are closely related to local communities, offering service forcommunity residents, small and medium sized enterprises. Differently, Chinesecommunity banks are simple bank outlets, which serve for local residents, peasanthouseholds and micro enterprises. Due to the different levels of economicdevelopment in various areas, the development strategies of Chinese communitybanks should adapt to local conditions to make better contribution to regionaleconomy.This study puts Changsha Bank as the main object, analyses the market demand,construction of resources and strategic positioning of community banks of ChangshaBank, by using the methods of literature review, case analysis and questionnairesurvey.Firstly, this study expounded the theory of Changsha banks from both economictheory and practical experience. From the theoretical aspect, the study make s use ofthe inclusive financial theory, relational theory and competitive lending basic theoryto discuss the necessity and feasibility of the development of community banks inChina. And then from the practical aspect, it provides a realistic learn from theexperience for the development of Changsha Bank Community Banks by analyzingdevelopment model of common American Community Bank and banks on behalf ofCommunity Bank in China, such as Bank of Beijing, Shanghai Rural CommercialBank and Guiyang Bank. Secondly, this study outlines the market demand ofcommunity banks of Changsha Bank, through collecting and summarizing surveysfrom residents and small business of Changsha. Finally, based on the above discussionresults, this study makes strategic proposals for the development of Changsha BankCommunity Bank, which can be described as several chapters, such as theconstruction-mode diversification, the management-structure scientification, thecooperation-mechanism normalization and so on.
