Since China’s reform and opening to the outside world, the national economy has developed rapidly. At the present, China is going through its economic restructuring. Whether it is successful or not depends on how to efficiently exploit and utilize human resources, which is mainly made up of rural workers in China. So, training them in this special period must go with the economic development. Besides, this kind of training also can bring a growth in the human capacity, which will serve economic and social development more efficiently. Basing on the discussion above, the article herein takes rural workers’training in the period as its research.This article’s purpose is to conduct the research into rural workers’training in Dongguan, so there are many factors to be studied including the research into new training conception, training objective, training contents, training method, the enrichment and deepening of the theory on rural workers’training, probing into regional-characteristic rural workers’training mode which can be learned by the other parts in China. The article includes six sections: Section1summarizes the background, the significance of the study, and methods. Section2sketches the situations and experiences in rural workers’ training in China and abroad,. Section3analyzes the present rural workers’training in Dongguan, and this part also points out six problems in the rural workers’training. Section4explains the Basic Requirements for rural workers’training can match economic and social transition in Dongguan; Section5states the strategies on the rural workers’training can match economic and social restructuring in this area. Section6makes concluding remarks on the whole article.In reference to a variety of relevant information, the study here has taken in the experiences from at home and abroad in this respect. The theory of the research comes from the data questionnaire. On the analysis of the data, together with the author’s experience and communications with the relative enterprises and rural employees, the author has got to learn about the rural workers’training, and come to know the major problems in rural workers’ training in Dong guan, especially among which such matters are crucial as few legal guarantees, unsatisfactory social environment, less financial support and policy factors, lack of teaching staff, impractically-established courses, lack of management. Thanks to the discussion above, the article ends up with the conclusion on the requirements and strategies for rural workers’ training in Dong guan during the economic and social transition.
