An Analysis On China’s Automobile Manufacturing Industry TTP-based On DEA Method

Since the reform and opening up, The rapid development of China’s manufacturingindustry greatly enhance China’s strength, has become a pillar of the national economy.Particularly the automobile manufacturing industry which plays an important role in thedevelopment of China’s manufacturing industry development is very rapid. Many countriesregard the automobile manufacturing industry as an important symbol to measure a country’slevel of economic development, science and technology, and regard the automobilemanufacturing industry as a pillar industry of the national economy, which we can see theimportant status and role of the automotive industry. In2009our country’s car sales exceeded13million, when became the world’s largest auto market surpassing the United States,according to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers latest announcement.China’s automobile production and sales22,116,800and21,984,100in2013, an increase of14.9%and13.9%respectively, which steady growth in progress, once again set the worldrecord, and won the first in the world for five consecutive years, the automobilemanufacturing industry has entered a stable development stage of the higher amount.However, the efficiency has always been a big problem cannot be ignored, more with less hasalways been the key to the production, and is also a key part of the internationalcompetitiveness of the domestic economy. Faced with fierce competition in the internationalmarket, we must have a research on the productivity of China’s automobile manufacturingindustry.In this paper, China’s automobile industry which has an important position and role ofthe manufacturing industry in such an economy and a country’s development strategy as theobject of study is of great significance, especially for analyzing the rapid development ofautomobile manufacturing industry’s total factor productivity has a double meaning.According to the relevant economic theory, by measuring total factor productivity model,using data envelopment analysis Malmquist Index analyses and estimates our China’s29auto-producing regions’ panel data of2000-2011, and analyses the TFP growth’s variation andfluctuation trends of China’s various regions automotive industry in depth. And according tothat further comparative analysis the three areas of central, eastern and western automotiveindustry TFP and analysis redundancy of inputs and outputs less of part regions of the countryin a given year. Finally, identify the main factors affecting China’s automobile industry TFPon the basis of this study. This paper has three main research objectives: first, grasp thechanges in the law and the evolution of trends of the automobile manufacturing industry TFP growth; second, find out the sources of growth and its inherent mechanism of the automobilemanufacturing industry TFP, and put forward some policy recommendations about thelong-term development of China’s automobile manufacturing industry.
