Deer industry as an emerging of Jilin Province has a broad developing prospect. More andmore people have been attention to the deer industry which can bring economic benefits. Thedeer industry in Jilin Province has unique natural and historical conditions. Deer industry as aspecial industry has been included in the "12th five-year" strategic industry planning in JilinProvince. The deer industry of Jilin Province has been developing and growing for decades, ithas about60%of deer in China. Most of the domestic market mainly sale its deer products.The development of deer industry is not only beneficial to satisfied the demand of peoplefor the healthy, but also reasonable to adjust for the structure of agricultural production. Thedeveloping of deer industry can ensure the sustainable development of the deer industry andincrease the farmers’ income in Jilin Province. But the deer industry still has lots of problems.Such as a lower cost benefit ratio, the wills for operating of the processors and farmers are notstrong, lack of the supporting policy from the government and so on.This paper mainly analyze for its developing history through the research of the deerindustry. Based on the deer and deer products analyze the status of the deer industry in JilinProvince. This paper systematically used various scientific methods to analyze the growing anddeveloping of deer industry. This paper used the total cost, the cost structure of deer productsand the net profit rate as the basis to indicate the trend of the cost benefit ratio. By establishingmodel of the grey relational analysis analyze the factors which influencing the deer industry.According to the above analysis main conclusion is that: deer industry in Jilin Province hasgood prospects for development. But there are some problems influencing the developing ofdeer industry in Jilin Province. Such as the costs of feeds and labors, the lower added value ofthe deer products, the policies of government are not in place and so on. Raising the averageselling price and the yield of deer products, reducing the costs of labors, feeds and young deerand cutting down the costs of depreciation about equipment can increase the production benefit.Raising the average selling price has the greatest effect. We can increase the breeding andprotecting of deer, engaging in the lager scale, strengthening the advantage of brand,cooperating with scientific research institutes and increasing the government supports topromote the sustainable and healthy development of deer industry in Jilin Province.
