Research On Cross-regional Industrial Connection And Coordination Policies Between Fujian Province And Jiangxi Province

Fujian and Jiangxi province are located in different areas,the former is ineast part of China,and the latter is in middle of China, they are geographicalneighbors and have a history of good relation.Currently， the strategy ofdeveloping West Coast Economic Zone is being implemented, meanwhile, thetransportation conditions have improved a lot during the past fewyears.Considering that indusrial development has distinctive traits and theindustries are highly complementary in these two provinces, it has goodprospects for cooperation. However, the administrative separation bringsmany problems in industrial coordination, the two provinces failed to takeadvantage of regional industrial collaboration.Hence, it’s meaningful to studycross-regional industrial connection and coordination between the twoprovinces.This paper has introduced related theory of cross-regional industrialcoordination, and summarized successful experience of industrialcoordination from domestic and overseas.Firstly, it makes thorough analysisof the current situation of industrial development as well as the convergenceof industrial structure in the two provinces. Secondly, it studies the conditionsof industrial coordination and the existing problems in cross-regionalindustrial coordination.Thirdly, based on the essence of the42industries intraditional input-output table, it integrates them into8big industries, whichsolves the problem of complicated data measurement. It uses cross-regionalinput-output model to analyze the major industries’ ripple effect andindustrial connection. The empirical results indicates that it should givepriority to the development of four leading industries.Finally,based on theresults of the above research and analysis, it puts forward correspondingproposals about cross-regional industrial structure, the flow of productionfactors and coordination mechanism.
