China, as the largest emerging market countries, has a special status andextensive influence in the international community. IMF (International MonetaryFund) as an important international organization in the world, and its internationalinfluence should not be overlooked. The development relationship between China andthe IMF has always been concerned. China, as one of the members of IMF, itsdevelopment process with IMF was not always smooth. At the beginning, theirrelationship is mutually exclusive. However, they begin to harmonize after the1980s.This huge change has covered some complicated reasons. From then on, Chinaparticipates actively in IMF affairs. After the outbreak of the debt crisis in2010,China added its capital43billion dollars to IMF, which shows that their relationshipdevelopment moves to a better direction.This thesis includes five chapters: The first chapter, a brief introduction about theestablishment background and functions of IMF, which can help us understand IMFdeeply. The second chapter is the history of relations between China and the IMF.Then describing the reasons why their relationships changed. The third chapter is toanalysis the reasons why China added its capital43billion dollars to IMF. Trough that,it can be gotten a further evidence of cooperation relationships between China andIMF. The fourth chapter is to describe the limitations of IMF and point out whatefforts China have to do in the future. The fifth chapter is the conclusion. Through theforegoing discussion, it is gotten a conclusion that China and the IMF are mutuallybeneficial relationship.
