More than thirty years have already passed since the Reform and Opening up, both of our living and consuming standard have been improved tremendously. In the aspect of eating,the word used to describe our diet had been changed from "being full" to "being satisfied",and in recent years,"being healthy". In such background, Chinese seasoning industry has been born in a prosperous soil,and keeps growing up by double-digit. However,a market with profit is always full of competition as well, and the number of winners has never been too many.Meanwhile, those competitions bring out the other side of the "prosperous soil" the seasoning industry also faces problems and challenges,such as low market concentration, or more than80%of them are small business,or over-simplified product line, etc. In addition, many successful international seasoning companies have joined this war of "who can get more market share",which makes the competition even more intensive.Regarding to those problems mentioned above,this essay will analyze how to manage a company effectively in a market which is full of competitions,and Henan Lotus Gourmet Powder Co.,LTD (hereinafter referred to as Lotus) has been selected to be the research object. Lotus founded in1983, and as a company with lot of experiences,it is still facing multiple problems in different areas nowadays,such as its old-fashioned operational system,shrinking market share and ineffective internal management,etc. Via analyzing the macro-environment,industrial environment and internal environment of the company,this essay will use strategic management tools,such as SWOT, PEST, Five Competitive Analysis and Value Chain Analysis, to illustrate the market opportunities and challenges faced by Lotus.After professional research and analysis,this essay will provide Lotus a double-wheeled plan which improves both of its property and capital. A comprehensive plan will help Lotus avoid encountering lots of unnecessary barriers,thus also guarantee the possibility of succeed. In addition,this plan will also be very elaborate and pragmatic,so that it will handle the debt part of Lotus skillfully and also dig deeper to find out more added value for Lotus.Furthermore,this essay also contains very detailed steps regarding to the plan mentioned above. There are7steps in total, including recapitalizing,product upgrading,structural adjustment,and brand strategy, etc. In a summary,this essay will be focusing on seasoning industry,and analyzing specific company,and providing practical plan to solve problems for this company.
