With the development of information technology, modern warfare environment for electromagnetic increasingly complex, will increase the urgency of electronic equipment combined with different functions together demand. Radar communications integration is one of the research hotspots in recent years. Due to the development of software radio technology, and radar digital communication systems increasingly high trend, have provide the basis for radar communications integration.Based on the radar communication integration feasibility analysis, the common transmitter, receiver and antenna hardware, have used different signal processing software, processing integrated program for radar signal and communication signal respectively. Such programs need to design an integrated signal, and has the ability to detect radar and communication capabilities, orthogonal frequency division multiplexing signals(OFDM) signal can be used as an integration. Traditional communication signal is randomness, and correlation is not good, so it has a direct impact on its ability to detect a radar signal. Based on the similarity of OFDM radar and phase encoding radar, P4 cyclic shift code which is commonly used in radar is introduced, with different cyclic shifts representing different communication symbols, which do not affect the ability of radar. The signal has the ability to transmit information without changing the hardware configuration of the radar.High Peak to average power ratio(PAPR) is a required solved problem for both OFDM systems and radar systems, but the focus is different. The influence of traditional OFDM system is used to limit the amplitude method radar and communications capacity of the integrated system BER, and the introduction of CE-OFDM signal to the OFDM signal becomes constant envelope signal, and PAPR is 0d B, completely solved problems of high peak average power ratio.OFDM radar communications integration system’s algorithm and the traditional OFDM system’s are the same. While the radar signal processing algorithms and conventional matched filter receiver are different. Radar signal processing algorithm based on FFT demodulation, with higher degree of application of this algorithm integrated system, and the speed and distance resolution and the resolution of conventional matched filter receives the same. 16-bit P4 code signal integrated communication system, performed at high SNR(greater than 10 d B), and similar to 8PSK, the transmission rate can meet the needs of modern communications.Integrated communication system based on OFDM radar signals hasn’t degrade the performance of the radar system, but it has the capability of high-speed communication, so this is a feasible and effective integration program.
