With the continuous development of the Internet of things and the popularity of mobile terminals, more and more embedded products are developing toward the direction of wireless, networking and intelligent, the intelligent hardware based on mobile IoT technology has turned to reality. As a more popular embedded products, thermal printer can also be combined with the Internet of things technology to achieve wireless remote printing by mobile devices.This paper relies on actual project and aims to design and realize the wireless printer system based on wechat masses platform. On the basis of thermal printer, combined with SAE cloud platform to build a cloud server, we use Wechat to achieve remote printing. The main work of this paper is as follows:1. Research the current development situation of wireless communication technology, Wechat masses platform and thermal printing. Analyse the current system architecture of cloud printer products and put forward the design scheme.2. Put forward the project of hardware design of the interconnection of print terminal and network by using embedded Wi-Fi module. Research the working principle of thermal printer and Wi-Fi module. Complete the selection of important devices and design of every circuit unit.3. Under the product nature design of simplicity and low cost, optimise the design of PCB, according to the hardware overall scheme, complete the hardware design and adjust of thermal printing control hardware board.4. Research the control mechanism of thermal printer. Complete the design of control flow of Wi-Fi communication, printing data parsing, thermal printing. The way of subdivision of stepper motor driving and device heating control are illustrated.5. Complete the design and arrangement of the Web application and database in cloud server based on SAE cloud platform. Identify the design idea of using public network database to store the print data.6. Complete the settings of WeChat public platform. Realize the design of the Wechat subscription within message analysising, intelligent graphic replying, information storage and web page-pushing. Complete the business logic implementation of self-service printing of film tickets.7. Complete the hardware circuit and software of print terminal, cloud server software testing and system alignment of the wireless printing system based on Wechat masses platform. Verify the stability of the design scheme. Test results show that the system is stable and reliable, and achieve the expected system indicators. Combined with self-service ticket business in the cinema, we can use WeChat client and Wechat masses platform to complete the real-time printing of the movie ticket, the response time is 5s. At the same time, the performance of thermal printer is elevated, it integrates the function of Wi-Fi networking, the quality and speed of printing is promoted. It has great application value to the popularization and generalization of thermal printing and Wechat masses platform in the field of IoT.
