With the increasing number of heterogeneous wireless networks, spectrum resources has become fewer and fewer. However, most of networks work independently and incompatibly, which causing great waste of resource. With the development of information process, a single network can’t meet people’s needs for communicatio n quality. Achieving the seamless integration and interoperability of heterogeneous wireless networks takes full advantage of existing network resources, improves communication performance and addresses these problems effectively.But the technology of heterogeneous wireless networks cooperative communication also brings problems e.g. high power consumption and the difficulty of selecting the appropriate relays. Considering the complexity of the system affected by the number of relay and limited battery capacity of the mobile smart devices, whether the relay selection and power allocation scheme is reasonable and effective is the key issue in the system. This paper, from the perspective of power distribution, presents a joint relay selection and power allocation scheme based on improved Genetic Algorithm Particle Swarm Optimization(GAPSO) and Power Threshold Selection algorithm in the heterogeneous wireless networks cooperative communication system.The main research work of this paper can be summarized as follow:1, an improved GAPSO algorithm was proposed. The algorithm combines the diversity of genetic algorithm and high convergence accuracy and speed of particle swarm algorithm and obtains both serial and parallel manner through relatively simple steps, so that advantages and disadvantages of two algorithms complement in each iteration. The output of simulation shows that the performance of the algorithm including convergence accuracy, speed and stability has been greatly improved.2, this paper proposes multi-relay cooperative model of heterogeneous wireless networks consist of Wi-Fi, 3G and LTE-Advanced, analyzes formula of transmission rate, power consumption. Based on the system, this paper presents a joint relay selection and power al ocation scheme based on the improved GAPSO and Power Threshold Selection algorithm.3,the simulation designed by MATLAB shows that the joint relay selection and power allocation scheme based on the improved GAPSO and Power Threshold Selection algorithm has a significant effect in both balancing and improving those conflicting properties including the complexity, power consumption and transmission rate.
