In recent years, with the rapid development of the progress of wind power generation technology and the expanding scale of interconnection, it is urgent to solve the problem brought by the characteristics of wind power, such as volatility, intermittent and unpredictable. An appropriate way is to apply the energy storage system, whose core is monitoring system. So the design of an energy storage monitoring system for wind power generation has an important significance.This project is a sub-project of The National Key Technology R&D Program "The Smart Grid demonstration project characterized by large scale application of renewable energy", which is aided to design and construct a battery energy storage system for wind power generation in Dongtan wind farm, Chongming, Shanghai.Firstly, the introduction part describe the background of the project simply. After a detailed investigation, it introduced the energy storage technology, the monitoring system, control strategy and project application around the world. Followed by the structure and function of the battery energy storage system, we have known the needed knowledge of energy storage system and conduct the selection work.Secondly, the software and hardware structure of the monitoring system was designed. The Dual-host and Dual-net redundant structure was applied. After requirement analysis, the C/S structure was proposed. After the structure design, it simply described the function of the monitoring supporting platform.Then, according to the actual project requirements, it designed the function of multi-level structure, and carried on the design and implement of the monitoring application and monitoring serves. For the optimize control, it explained the process and theory principle of the algorithm, with a simple simulation to observe the effect.Finally, it did the analyses based on the actual operation data and did a summary. The fact proves that the system is running stable and has an excellent control effect.
