Design And Implementation Of A Wifi Access System Based On Visible Light Wireless Communication

The research subject of this thesis is supported by the Science and Technology Support Program of Jiangsu Province, which is named "The Research and System Development of WLAN Technologies based on Visible Light" (No. BE2011177). The main work of this thesis is to design and implement a WiFi access system based on visible light wireless communication. Based on the analysis of the system’s application scenarios, the thesis proposes the overall design scheme of the system, builds its software and hardware platforms, as well as designs and implements the WiFi access module and data frame transformation module. Integration and testing results show that the system works stably, which satisfies the pratical demands.The whole thesis is divided into five chapters as follows:Chapter 1 introduces the background and research meaning of this subject, and describes the main contents and chapters’ arrangement of this thesis.Chapter 2 proposes the overall design scheme and briefly discusses the specific implementations by analyzing the system’s application scenarios and verifying the implementation scheme of this system.Chapter 3 builds the hardware and software platforms of this system, in which the former is based on ARM board, and the latter is based on the embedded Linux system. After that, the thesis designs and implements the system’s WiFi access module.Chapter 4 discusses on the core module of this system — data frame transformation module. It designs the implementation scheme of this module and realizes its frame disassembly and reassembly function and data frame transfer function.Chapter 5 builds the system’s testing platforms, tests each modules and analyses the performance of the data frame transformation module. It also integrates all the modules and tests the whole access system. Integration and testing results show that the system works stably, which satisfies the practical demands.
