With the cloud computing technology growing maturity today, massive data increasingly put pressure on the enterprises’ data centers, so that more and more enterprises choose to build their own private cloud as a business platform. While protecting the data security, private cloud can also bring enterprise a dynamic, flexible and efficient cloud application’s elastic service. The elastic service of cloud platform made it has the trait to elastically schedule the resource and service, which is a key character of cloud computing.This thesis research for the elastic service of private cloud, in order to satisfy cloud application’s elastic character, designed an elastically stretchable cloud computing services framework based on open source platform CloudStack. The main work is as follows:1) Analysis the cloud platform’s virtual resources operation mechanism, take use of provided CloudStack API to operate as well as maintain the virtual resource and physical resources.2)Designed a private cloud framework of elastic application service, including the application layer, elastic service layer and virtual resource layer; elastic service layer contain physical/virtual resource monitoring module, data analysis module, elastic resource scheduling module and so on; the physical/virtual resources monitoring techniques, using tools of Libvirt to monitor the resources and application.3) Propose an elastic cloud platform based on an elastic strategy, combined with application’s operated situation and self-perception, dynamically adjust the resource of running application. This strategy can be adapted to the load pressure of application due to difference running time, it can also deal with the burst amount unexpected tasks caused by hot event, avoiding the temporary downtime as a result of lack of resource preparation time.This thesis completed the design and implementation of private cloud elastic application service platform, and stress test confirmed the platform’s elastic strategy, which is satisfied with the demand of application’s elastic extension. This system can apply the adaptive scheduling in cloud environment, increasing the resource utilization rate, which has important value on reducing enterprise operating costs.
