Design And Implementation Of Internationalization Auto-Testing System For EBS Application Managment

Testing technique, as an essential part of IT project, gets a variety of applications, while the rapid development of computer science and technology. It can mainly be defined as two kinds of testing by the testing method of IT project, manual testing and automatic testing. The fast arisen and developing automatic testing since recent years, are more efficient, has lower error rate and cost than manual testing.This paper according i18n(internationalization) testing attributes designs a low dependent, easy extending, and esay reused 3-tier architecture, which includes masterdriver as controler layer, data bank as persistent layer, and test cases as business layer. And it captures webpage elements by element locating and dynamic locating technique. This paper firstly analyzes the state of the art for overseas and domestic automatic testing research status, analyzes the pros and cons for both manual testing and automatic testing, and raises the automatic testing in internatinalization area. The IT systems which support multilingual and i18 n attributes are common in the corporations that provide services for global customers. The testing requirements generally exist. Oracle Corporation to which the project researched in this paper belongs has the same situation. This paper will research the design and implementation of automatic testing system which is based on automatic testing tool Open Script, using JAVA as test script language, and aim at i18 n attributes. I18 N auto-testing system for EBS(E-Business Suite) application management will use dynamic analyzing for web page components, record and playback for testing process, customized testing scripts, automatic comparison technique, testing management technique, etc. The tester who use this automatic testing system can test against i18 n properties, including the validations of date format, number format, page layout, currency unit, time zone, local, character set, language, etc in different countries and regions and different language environments. By performing automatic testing against i18 n properties, it can improve work efficiency, reduce cost, decrease tester’s mistake, and increase testing veracity.Via the actually online application of this system, it proves that the system can implement the i18 n properties automatic testing against multilingual i18 n system, and also can resolve the multi-user high concurrent processing issue. It resolved the heavy workload of manual testing method issue, and the tester’s mistake issue. The system fills in gaps of i18 n automatic testing area.
