Human body energy consumption detection is widely applied in the eares of scientific fitness, physical training, clinic medicine and exercise-induced weight loss. It’s aimed to perform accurate quantization and evaluation to human body energy consumption, and assist to provide scientific and effective healthy sports plan.As a newly emerging informative terminal, smartphone is integrated by plenty of software applications and variety of high-precision sensors. The acceleration sensor, among others, can be used for calculting human body energy consumption. Thus smartphone offers proper technological support for long-term measuring and recording human body sports energy consumption. As the sports and scientific fitness is further popularized, the human body energy consumption detection system based on smartphone platform becoming one of the most concerned research direction in human body energy consumption detection area due to its various advantages, such as low cost, portability, real-time performance and accessibility, which are lacked in the conventional energy consumption detection methods. The research developed in this paper has very wide market application prospect.Based on deep acquaintance of the current domestic and foreign research situation of human body energy consumption detection, firstly this paper performs study on the related theories and algorithms of human body energy consumption detection, and the research and application situation of acceleration sensor technology, analyzes the feasibility of acceleration sensor-based energy consumption calculation, and designs the data collection plan and data pretreatment method for smartphone acceleration sensor. Secondly, based on the existing problem of current energy consumption calculation algorithms, it proposes the feasible plan of intellectually adjusted energy consumption calculation method through real-time automatic human exercise intensity detection. The existing problems of current energy consumption algorithms mainly include energy consumption calculation inaccuracy, demand on cell phone placement position and fixed sports mode, etc. Due to the complexity, diversity and indeterminacy of human body movement in real environment, although the existing energy consumption algorithms can achieve high precision in laboratory conditions, it’s difficult to simulate the complicated human body movement in real environment. This paper starts from the fundamental theory of kinetics, establishes the acceleration sensor-based human body energy computation equation, proposes smartphone real-time exercise intensity identification algorithms, and finally integrates two parameters closely related to human body energy consumption, exercise intensity and human body characteristics indicator, into the computation equation of human body energy in order to achieve the real-time and precise computation of human body energy under different exercise intensity. By the end of the paper, it achieves an Android smartphone platform-based human body sports energy consumption detection system, whose function includes user administration, data collection, energy consumption detection, sports planning, sports energy consumption analysis and health guidance, etc.In conclusion, the paper mainly completes the acceleration sensor-based human body energy consumption detection system, and achieves smartphone sports data collection, sports energy consumption measuring and analysis, and energy consumption data visualization. The system is characterized with high measuring precision, stability, device compatibility and accessibility. It’s able to meet all the daily human body energy consumption detection demands and has high practical value.
