With the development of science and technology, Virtual reality technology is gradually mature. Virtual reality head mount display(HMD) is also more and more extensive: simulation training, 3D games, remote medical and so on will be the use of this technology. The main work of this paper is to design wireless head mounted display, and integrated into the WHDI technology in the system.Firstly, the paper designs an optical system based on a size of 7 inches and a resolution of 1920*1080 liquid crystal display screen. The optical system has 100° field of view. And then designs an embedded system and software which is matched with the optical system. This system Includes the navigation attitude reference sub-system, the wireless data sending and receiving module, the virtual reality observation module and the virtual scene roaming program. In the design of navigation and attitude reference system, the complementary filtering algorithm and Calman filter algorithm are compared and the results are obtained by the experimental simulation. At the same time, in the process of the HMD, the wireless data link is built by WHDI technology and NRF24L01 chip. The wireless transmission has a very small delay and high reliability. And finally, the wireless HMD has a high performance.
