In recent years,The new measuring device and measurement technology to be widely used with the rapid development of science and technology. The technologies of ground three-dimensional laser scanning applied in various fields which is becoming a current research hot spot. Due to the subway, highway, railway, Mine etc. tunnel engineering is increasing.This technology has a large number of experimental to complete the inspection and acceptance, flatness inspection, calculation, the tunnel deformation monitoring and so on. As the different characteristics of each fields, the measurement, data processing method are not the same.With the construction of the tunnel is unique long and narrow structure, the control point error of tunnel is biger, also the number of stations is increased.The low registration precision of tunnel point cloud has become the field application difficulty. This paper use the cloud tunnel point,s registration method as the study object. According to the tunnel features to improve its registration scheme.Putting forward a improved algorithm of registration, this has vital significance to the technology in tunnel engineering better use.This paper introduces the point cloud registration method firstly and then in-depth analysis the error sources of tunnel. In order to reduce the impact of tunnel control point coordinates cumulative error of registration accuracy. The article improve a method which use the fore and aft station to control the overall registration error. In order to further understand and optimize the algorithm and accuracy of registration, using the markers based on registration algorithm was studied through experiment,to the geometric center of the target, and the fitting error of each station registration error are summarized and analyzed, on the basis of ICP algorithm improved algorithm based on marker registration. The algorithm firstly by the initial registration method based on reference points, using the first registration error of Z direction to make relation. Using the least square and iterative algorithm to complete the second rotation error correction of Z direction and the other directions to improve the registration accuracy.The article chooses Guangxi Tea Yunding tunnel as the experimental data point cloud. Based on FARO SCENE data processing software.Using VC++ and OpenGL image development kit for registration improvement plan implementation. Analysis of interpolation and comparison of the original registration scheme and improved scheme registration results using MATLAB, From the result we can see that the plan proposed in this paper is based on first station to registration and use the tail station to control error can effectively reduce it. For the registration algorithm using effect. From the station registration correction value contrast result can know that the scheme can not only effectively control the Z direction of the error and avoid registration fluctuations significantly due to the error of control point coordinates, but also correct the other direction error. So this improved scheme has a very good effect for increasing accuracy of registration.
