With the development of mobile communications for many years, site scarcity has become the operator station construction process in the face of a huge problem. China Mobile Communications Group Co., Ltd. found in the communication system of TD-LTE base station construction process, many places have the problem of the scarcity of site need to TD-SCDMA and TD-LTE systems need a total of station of shared antenna and feeder construction, built a road antenna while the TD-SCDMA and TD-LTE systems of shared antenna and feeder station but cannot be independently adjust the tilt angle, poor compatibility. Fad independent electrically adjustable antennas can make TD-SCDMA and TD-LTE can independent regulation of the working frequency of the vertical beam tilt in the common antenna feeder network, greatly enhance the TD-LTE system network coverage planning and optimization capabilities. In this paper, the design of a FAD can be independent of the smart antenna.This paper first introduces the concept of LTE and its application background, and introduces the actual situation of the antenna and the antenna manufacturers at home and abroad. Several common design schemes for vibration sub unit and phase shifter are given. In the second chapter, the related theory of TDD smart antenna and the design principle of microstrip antenna are introduced. In the third chapter, the analysis of the technical requirements of TD-LTE base station antenna is required to decompose the TD-LTE base station antenna into four parts. The fourth chapter and the seventh chapter carry on the simulation design and the experiment to the four parts, from the scheme choice to the simulation model, and then to the sample production and testing. In the eighth chapter, on the basis of the design of the four parts, the assembly and debugging of the antenna array are carried out.
