Cognition evaluation is an important way to help people understand and improve themselves in psychology. Currently psychological problems of college students has become increasingly serious. It’an important issue of academia to know about the psychologic status of college students and help them to understand themselves in order to improve and enhance by cognition evaluation especially emotional competence evaluation. As an important way to study emotion competence, emotion competence can be reflected through facial expression recognition and empathy. The traditional methods of evaluation of emotion competence include of scale evaluation, psychological testing, computer-aided evaluation, etc. With the development of Inernet technology, the evaluation of emotion competence can be fully carried out by means of a network. Meanwhile, new technologies such as HTML5 have the advantages of platform-independent, adapt to multi-terminal, high-performance and good user experience. Based on the research above, this project develops the online emotion evaluation system based on HTML5 combined with some popular web technology and human-machine interaction. According to the evaluation methods of current emotion competence, This paper design and develop the program of empathy and facial expression recognition in this system. Fouthermore, this system was used to collect evaluation data. We evaluated the feasibility of the system by analyzing the evaluation data. The system is designed to help more people understand themselves and show appropriate recommendations based on the actual situation, in order to bulid a comprehensive network platform of evaluation and data collection.The design and development of online emotion evaluation system based on HTML5 is divided into three steps. First, after requirements analysis about the design goal, the function and performance demand, design the B/S three layer system architecture and module function, and then select related technologies. Second, develop the online software in detail, mainly contains user registration/login module, individual center module, empathy evaluation module, facial expression recognition module and historical data query module. Third, develop the Web Server based on Apathe, mainly contains data transmission interface module, business logic processing module and database management module.This paper use the system to collect evaluation data while the system has been completed. According to the result of data analyzing, the data collected can reflect some facts with high credibility. So the design of the system is feasible. The development of the system has taken a step on development of evaluation methods and big data collection in psychology.
